Swansea Storm U16 players Alex Cherry, Chris Dole and Sam Bowler have all been selected to represent Wales at U16 Level. All three players have come through the Storm's development system under head Coach Bryan Culliford. All 3 players have played representative games already and will now be hoping to impress the national team coach to make the final cut of 12 players to travel to the European championships this summer in Andorra. Swansea Storm Deuce won their opening leg of the Welsh Cup with a 61-35 win over local rivals the Cardiff Capitals. To view the Score Sheet from the game click on the Fixtures/Results tab above and follow the link. Prior to the senior game Swansea Storm Mini Basketball took on Capitals Minis and won by 24-10. MVP for the Minis was Aled Rees who top scored with 10 points and pulled down 8 rebounds.

Swansea Storm are pleased to announce the signing of 6'5 Centre Frank Lynch who joins Swansea from Llanelli Basketball club where he participated in a number of successful campaigns in the West Wales League. During his time in West Wales Franky was amongst the league leaders in points per game and rebounds.

Swansea Storm are pleased to welcome back Scottish Shooting Guard Rob Kinnear to the basketball club. Rob starts his second spell with Swansea after playing last year with Kenifig Cougars where he picked up winners medals in both League and cup competitions. Commenting on the re-signing of Rob, head coach Gavin Lewis said "it's great to have Rob back at the club his 3 point shooting range will help us offensively this season plus he will also be contributing off court with our community schools coaching programme" More signings announcements are planned in the next few weeks keep checking back for the latest information.

Swansea Storm Basketball club is pleased to announce the signing of 6'8 American Forward Rodrick Johnson from Anaheim, California. Rod has recently moved to the area with his family after a successful college career at the University of Chaminade in Hawaii. As well as bringing valuable playing experience to Swansea Storm, Rod will also be actively involved with the Storms community and schools coaching programme where he will look to pass on his coaching and training tips to Swansea's young basketball players. At High School Rod was a consensus National Top 150 player out of high school. He starred for the Canyon Springs Cougars, averaging over 20 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks per contest and was named in the First Team All-Conference. At Fullerton College Rod enjoyed a standout career for the Hornets. As a sophomore, Johnson was a first team All-Conference Selection, averaging 19.3 points, along with 8.9 rebounds per contest. Rod had a high of 39 points against Chaffey College, followed by 38 against Santa Ana and 34 points against Orange Coast. He Enjoyed a fantastic freshman year at Fullerton, starting for the 37-0 State Champions.

Swansea Storm will play it's opening match of the new season on Friday 3rd of October against Barry Basketball club in the first round of the South Wales Valley Cup. Tip off is scheduled for 8:15pm at our new home court the LC2. As always spectators are welcome and entry is free of charge. Swansea Storm 2nds Will play Cougars away un the first round, the date is yet to be confrmed

Swansea Storm Senior men's 2nd team has been officially named 'The Deuce' the team will play it's first competitive season in the 2008/09 South Wales Valleys League Division 2. The team is currently unbeaten picking up a pair of wins in pre season friendlies over the Bristol Braves and Cardiff Capitals

Swansea Storm Basketball Team were crowned South Wales Valleys League Playoff Champions
with wins over Llwynapia in Round One, Barry in the Semi Finals and Merthyr in the Final. Excellent performances from Mike Elward (Captain) Ge-Vaughn Bramble and Martin Jarvis helped the Storm Secure a second Playoff crown in 3 Years

Swansea Storm are pleased to announce that Mini Basketball coaching sessions will commence at Swansea College Sports Centre from Sunday 9th September. The sessions will be for boys and girls aged 11 years and under. The hour long coaching session runs from 9 - 10 am and costs £2.50 per session. All coaching will be carried out by fully qualified coaches.
